I am a proud public school graduate. I was in the 2nd graduating class at the Richardson School of Law and have been practicing law for 35 years.
My husband, Addison Bowman, and I chose to raise our 3 boys in Paauilo because of the great public schools, the peaceful pace, and the sheer beauty.
We have both volunteered extensively at both Paauilo Elem/Intermediate and Honokaa High School as well as in AYSO.
Professionally I have focused on legal access for the poor. I helped found Volunteer Legal Services Hawaii and the Domestic Violence Legal Hotline. Most recently I have been active with the Access to Justice.
I have been honored for my professional work by the Hawaii County Council, Hawaii State Bar Association (Ki'eki'e Award, 2011), and Hawaii Women Lawyers (Outstanding Woman Lawyer of the Year 2012).
I know how to work hard. I am willing to work hard to represent people of District 1.

Hey Jo, You interested in running again? We're looking for Green candidates and I suspect you're for peace and justice, women's & indigenous rights, and protecting the environment, right? If you run as a Green, you can skip the Primary & hop right to the General. I'll send you someinfo if you're interested.
